Chapter projects are funded through membership fees, raffles at meetings, and sales at chapter meetings and state conferences.

Pat Sawyer memorial Scholarship/Grant-in-Aid
Each year Chi chapter revises, disperses, receives applications and awards this scholarship to a high school senior girl who plans to major in education. The Scholarship is named for deceased chapter member Pat Sawyer. See Grants & scholarship page for more information or to apply.

Women's Emergency Support Shelter
This ongoing project goes back many years. Members donate needed items to the shelter, and those available attend the annual fund-raising breakfast. The mission of the Emergency Support Shelter is to end sexual and domestic violence while providing education, safety, and support to the community. They provide FREE services to victims and survivors of domestic and sexual violence. They also provide services to families and friends of victims and survivors, helping them address their own reactions to victimization, so they can effectively support the victim. [Most needed items]

Schools for Africa
Schools for Africa became the Society's first official international project in 2010. Currently the project works with 13 countries in sub-Saharan Africa including Angola, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Niger, Burkina Faso, Mali, Ethiopia, Madagascar, Sierra Leone and Guinea Bissau. The SFA mission involves providing access to quality basic education for children, focusing on girls, orphans and other vulnerable youngsters.

Supporting Early-career Educators (SEE)
In order to share the vision, Leading Women Educators Impacting Education Worldwide, and strengthen our Society, the Educational Excellence Committee established Supporting Early-career Educators (SEE) as its second international project during the 2012 International Convention in New York City.
